Edgar the elephant has a new baby sister but he is far too noisy so keeps waking her up! He turns to his mouse friend, Ruby, for advice. Together they approach Mr Cheddar, their teacher at the Mouse School, who agrees to teach Edgar to be as quiet as a mouse. At first it seems difficult, but with lots of hard work eventually Edgar is quiet enough to take the Mouse test and pass, becoming the first ever elephant to do so! But after the test it is the mice's turn to sound like 'a herd of elephants' as they celebrate with lots of cheese!
