After a run of good fortune, Dalton rests up in Sawyer Creek, blissfully unaware of troubles to come. Convinced his luck won't end, he challenges the crooked Obediah Bryce to a game of cards: then, just like, that, he loses everything. Forced out of town by Marshal Walsh, and imprisoned at the ghost town of Randall's Point, Dalton patiently plots his revenge.
