American family drama based on a true story in which a young boy named Christian (Connor Corum) befriends a stray dog who comes to his aid when he is being bullied at a local park. Though Christian's family are initially wary of their new pet, they soon warm to him as they discover that the dog can offer them more than they ever could have imagined. With Christian's parents' marriage on thin ice and his relationship with his father almost non-existent, his new canine best friend helps to strengthen the bond of the entire family while setting out on adventures with them along the way.
